Dr.Kumaresh Krishnamoorthy after completing his basic training in ENT went on to get advanced training (Clinical Fellowship) in head and neck surgery and in neurotology. The head and neck surgery fellowship was from Roswell Park Cancer Institute, one of the world premier institute in Oncology management. The neurotology fellowship was from University of Cincinnati. He was the first Indian to be selected by the University for this very prestigious and most sought after fellowship in USA. He is also one of the very few to boast of these advanced trainings in this country and also a select few to have the rare honor of being selected for these trainings directly from India. His desire to give back to his country compelled him to return back to India. He joins a select band of people capable of doing complex head and neck surgeries and also otological implants like Bone Anchored Hearing Aids (BAHA). Some of the recent complex surgeries completed recently include a parathyroid adenoma extending to the chest (Largest reported in medical literature so far), stenosis of the subglottic region, retrosternal thyroid (thyroid gland extending into the chest) and recurrent cholesteatoma (disease of the ear) which has recurred after two previous surgeries and eroding the middle cranial fossa and extending anteriorly to the parotid region. He is a doctor with a social consciousness and wants patients in India to have information about their condition. Towards this end he sends patient information literature's pertaining to their problems to all his patients and to those who request the same via email. He is currently working as a Senior Consultant at Apollo Hospitals, Bangalore.
