Since January 2005 he has been Secretary of Birmingham Local Dental Committee providing support and advice to Birmingham’s 390 dentists. His clincal interest is primarily Orthodontics which is the provision of braces used to straighten teeth in both child and adult patients. He has regularly appeared as the media spokesman for the BDA and Local Dental Committee and has appeared on BBC, ITV, Radio 1, Radio 5 Live, Sky News and Local Radio Stations. He has regularly appeared on Radio WM’s 'Ed Doolan Show' as an advisor on dental problems. He is a season ticket holder for Birmingham City FC and enjoys tennis and gardening as hobbies. He once operated as a linesman in a pre-season friendly Birmingham City v Newcastle United in front of 20,000 spectators with then England Captain Alan Shearer in the Newcastle team. Mr Edward John Crouch was congratulated by his peers in December 2008 when he was awarded the prestigious UK Outstanding Award 2008 by Dentistry Magazine.

After graduating she joined a practice in Ballyclare, Northern Ireland, to complete her vocational year. In 2005, she moved to Birmingham, to live closer to her partner and joined Sherwood Dental Practice. Her clinical interests include treating nervous patients and cosmetic dentistry (bleaching, crowns, bridges and white fillings). She has recently passed Part 1 of the MJDF examination. She has played Gaelic football for past 8 years and since moving to Birmingham has joined a local Gaelic team that became Great Britain Champions in 2006. She has been involved in Irish dancing since the age of 4 and danced as part of an amateur River Dance Troop that toured throughout Europe. She also enjoys swimming, reading, walking and decorating her new house.
