In March 2007, Dentistanbul combined its experiences and knowledge with the international experiences of Global Environment Fund (an American investment partnership that is interested in worldwide health and environmental issues).Following the acquisition of Dentistanbul by GEF, Dentistanbul renewed its management and medical staff and adopted global standards in technical equipment and dental treatments.
Dental hospitals, Turkey, Istanbul The chain which started in with the Besiktas Hospital in 2001, continued with the Yildiz Polyclinic in 2003.
The Besiktas Hospital provides services to 18,000 patients annually and is the busiest dental treatment facility in Turkey.
In the Anatolian side of Istanbul,Altunizade Polyclinic opened in 2005. A second hospital, Goztepe Medical Park Dentistanbul Dental Hospital,began accepting patients on 4th of July 2008. In November 2008 the Göztepe Dental Hospital received Joint Commission International (JCI) Accreditation.Dentistanbul has the distinction of being the first Dental facility in the world to meet JCI Accreditation standards.

The Dentistanbul Medical team is composed of a Medical Director and Department Heads who are all highly qualified and recognised Dental University Speciality Professors. Infection control
Sterilisation and disinfection are important elements for all Dentistanbul facilities. Dentistanbul’s Infection Control Committee follows the infection control guidelines
of American Dental Association. Standard operating procedure for all non disposable equipment used during patient treatment is the equipment is washed, placed in an ultrasonic washer, disinfected, then sealed in special packs and sterilised in an autoclave. Finally, the safety of the operation is controlled with by biological testing.
General anaesthesia and operating room
Dentistanbul Yildiz and Dentistanbul Medical Park Goztepe Hospitals both
have fully equipped operating rooms that serve under the control and supervision of an anaesthesiologist. These operating rooms are used for the dental treatment of children and adults where general anaesthesia and/or sedation, is required. There is a 10 bed inpatient unit for pre and post-operative care at both hospitals as well.

Dentistanbul uses multiple implant brands that are selected based upon individual patient requirements. Implant treatments are applied in 2 sessions with a 3-4 months break between the 2 stages. Some alternatives have the advantage of shortening the period between the implant placement and making the prosthetics; within one month. Implants are manufactured in a manner that allows the implant to integrate totally with the patient's bone similar to a natural tooth. During the second visit, a gingival form is applied and the prosthesis is prepared.
