About The Seapoint Clinic

The Seapoint Clinic has been established as a centre of Dental Excellence. Until now it has been difficult for a patient in Ireland to have all their dental needs taken care of in one place. We are based in a newly refurbished building across the road from Seapoint DART station. All our principle dentists grauated with honours from Trinity College, Dublin and have a great amount of experience and training behind them. Both are members of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. They have completed further training in the USA and Europe and been awarded certificates in Dental Implantology from the University of Warwick. At Seapoint we aim to treat patients in a comfortable and caring environment. From the second you see our building you will know you have arrived in the right place. We try to keep treatment costs affordable while still making them available locally. Finally a dental practice that looks more like a boutique hotel than the frightening practices of old. We are committed to  continuing education to ensure our skills are the finest available.   IN-HOUSE DENTAL LAB We are delighted that Premier Dental Laboratory has decided to relocate to the Seapoint Clinic in December. This will make a world of difference to patients undergoing smile makeovers and crown and bridge treatments. We will be able to maintain control over every aspect of smile design and quality control. The speed at which we provide treatment will be greatly improved and there will be no risk of delays or problems from shipping and postage problems. The lab on-site emerged from our desire to create a dental laboratory with a focus on the artistic side of dental technology. As dental professionals we understand the importance of what we do and that we must avoid compromises. We aim to provide the best possible products, designed with our patients' well-being in mind. Invisalign: the clear alternative to regular bracesThis is particularly popular among our adult patients in the public eye who do not want the world to know they are wearing braces. Invisalign involves wearing a set of customised clear aligners. They allow you to brush as normal and to eat whatever you want during treatment. The average treatment time for this is about a year but can be faster where less movements are needed.

Dental implants are a particular area of expertise at the Seapoint Clinic. Our dentists have been thoroughly trained with some of the world's greatest experts and have completed hundreds of implant treatments successfully. We have everything we could possibly need onsite to provide implants in a safe and caring environment. We are one of the only dental clinics in Ireland to have a dental CT scanner. This allows us to avoid damage to important nerves in the jaws and to the sinuses. With the CT scanner we can tell before your implant visit whether your bone is suitable, instead of having to undergo a painful investigation under an anesthetic.We have fully computerised planning systems which allow us to perform surgery in a virtual environment to ensure optimum results. Such equipment doesn't come cheap but as we place so many implants we keep the cost to the patient much lower than you would expect for such technological innovation.

Biography

Dr Linehan qualified with honours in Trinity College, Dublin in 2001. He achieved success in college by creating the first Ryanair website.

After qualifying he moved to the UK for 2 years and worked in an excellent cosmetic practice. Upon returning to Ireland he joined his brother in a practice in Tiperrary and then set up in Limerick.

He has completed extensive training in dental implantology and cosmetic dentistry. Dr Linehan has now moved to the area and is practicing full-time at the Seapoint Clinic.

Biography

Dr. O` Flaherty qualified with honours in Trinity College in 2001. His link to the area goes back much further as he went to primary school in Scoil Lorcan just around the corner from the practice and secondary school in Monkstown Park.

After graduation Edmond travelled to London to a state of the art Whitecross practice and worked there for 2 years. Upon returning Edmond taught in the Dental hospital for 3 years part time and also worked in the city centre. In 2003 he set up in Dun Laoghaire in Dr. McKenna`s old practice and since then has set about getting as much continuing education as possible. He has travelled to America dozens of tiems to get the best education possible to benefit his patients. He is a founder member of the Irish Academy of Implant Dentistry and is also a member of the AACD, AAID, ICOI and the IDA (Irish Dental Association).

Dr. O` Flaherty has also graduated from the prestigious Misch Implant Institute in Detroit, Michigan and Temple University, Pittsburg. He completed both the surgical implant program and the prosthetic program.

The staff of this clinic are very friendly and answered all of my queries very professionally. The dentist himself explained the procedure from start to finish.

I will be attending them for the next 6 months for my treatment but I am strongly considering making them my regular dentist.
