Organizations
The Indian Dental Council is responsible for maintaining standards of dental education within the country. It also sets the ethical standards that dentists must adhere to in their practice. The Council is represented in each state and the local branches hold the register of dentists within the state.
The Indian Dental Association is the professional grouping of dentists within India - Members must be registered dentists under the Indian Dentists’ Act 1948. The Association's website provides a search facility to locate/verify its members.
