Case Study of Dentistry in Poland

Dental Team in PolandIn 2005 Jouke De Ruiter (59) from Co. Cork in Ireland went to see an Irish specialist dentist about getting three crowns made for teeth that his own local dentist had decided were "beyond repair". He didn't even get to see the specialist in person. Instead he was made to fill out forms and wait. The quote he received was 2,000 euro per crown. Jouke considered this to be a rip-off.

Both Jouke and his wife had previously been patients of a professor in the dental department of Nijmegen University, in the Netherlands, and had experience of very high quality dental care, and also knew that great quality treatment didn't have to cost this much.

Kamilla, a friend of Jouke's, recommended going to her home country of Poland for dental treatment, as the quality was of a very high standard, and prices were much lower. After some investigation on the internet, he came across Dental Team, a clinic belong to a husband and wife team. Jouke decided that he liked the personal feel of their clinic and decided to arrange a consultation.

Jouke flew to Berlin and was chauffeured to Szczecin, where Dental Team's clinic is located. He met his new dentist Michal Wiklinski. "He gave me a very thorough exam inclusive of a panorama x-ray of the total dental situation. We discussed the situation in some detail and played with the various alternatives." As soon as they decided to proceed with crowns, Michal started work on their fabrication. 2 days later Michal fitted the crowns and Jouke says they are "perfect".

"He does total makeovers, crowns, bridges, bleaching, implants, you name it. And best of all, he does all this in a down-to-earth friendly and personal fashion that is non-threatening, makes you feel respected, comfortable, well taken care of and in the best hands.
I highly recommend him."
