Get the cheek bones you always wanted
Cheek implants are used to augment you natural cheek bones to give you a balanced facial look, complimenting your nose and chin structure.
Cheek implant surgery on its own is quite short, taking around 30 to 45 minutes. If it is combined with other facial procedures, the entire surgery will last anywhere from 2 to 4 hours.
Cheek implants are placed by making a small incision inside the upper lip or under the eyelid. The implant is placed against the cheek bone and the incision is stitched up.
The surgery itself can be done on an outpatient basis, and full recovery time is quite short, usually taking about a week. Stitches will either disolve (if inside the lip) or be removed around a week to 10 days after the surgery.
The standard surgical risks apply here - infection and blood clots, complications to do with anaesthetic, alergic reactions and so on. You will need to discuss your specific case with your doctor or surgeon, taking particular note of any medications you are currently using and any alergies you know of.

Organizations
The Ministry of Health, Social and Family Affairs has overall responsibility for the quality and distribution of healthcare in Hungary.
The Hungarian Medical Chamber is the politically independant overseer of the profession in Hungary. Membership of the Medical Chamber is compulsory for doctors and the chamber through its regional branches maintains a register of all qualified doctors.
Continuing professional development is overseen by the Continuing Education Council.
The Association of Hungarian Medical Societies (AHMS) combines the aims and interests of its member societies to represent the medical profession in Hungary. Plastic Surgeons in Hungary will belong to the Hungarian Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (a member society of the AHMS).
Education
Initial medical qualification falls under the remit of the Ministry of Education which regulates the 4 medical schools. Training takes 6 years. The Ministry of Health takes overall responsibility for postgraduate medical training and is aided in this by the advice of 'Institutes' which represent groupings of experts in relevant fields. Specialization such as in Plastic Surgery is obtained through a centrally regulated registrar system. Training in plastic surgery as a specialty (Plasztikai (égési) sebészet) requires a minimum period of 5 years. Continuing professional development is mandatory and is based on the accrual of Continuous Medical Education (CME) points. Failure to obtain the required numbers of CME points from accredited training programmes will lead to a suspension of the right to practice.
Complaints
The Medical Chamber has extensive powers over physicans and may fine, suspend or remove the right to practice. Patient complaints may be addressed to the chamber. Patients also retain the right to follow civil action through the courts.
