Augment the size and shape of your breasts
In this procedure breast size is enhanced by the use of implants (usually gel or silicone based). Implants can be used to return the breast to normal size during reconstructive surgery.
Augmentation can also be used to correct an imbalance in size between breasts.
The procedure usually takes between one and two hours.
Augmentation is carried out under a general anaesthetic. Various techniques are used to reduce visible scaring from the procedure: Implants may be introduced under the armpit or through the areola; another common technique is to make an incision under the breast allowing the breast itself to hide any scaring. Yet another technique allows the surgeon to use an endoscopic procedure, with the implant brought in through the navel area.
Commonly, patients can return to normal activity within a week, with strenuous activity possible within four weeks. Temporary bruising and swelling are part of the recovery process and vary from patient to patient, all signs will usually be gone within six months. Scarring will result from any incision but will fade over time. Recovery is faster in healthy fit individuals who refrain from smoking.
Implants are liable to deflation, which will require the operation to be repeated. The procedure may result in a change of sensitivity of the skin and nipples. Capsular contraction, which is the formation of scar tissue around the implant, results in a hardening of the breast and can cause infection or bleeding.

The Hungarian Medical Chamber is the politically independant overseer of the profession in Hungary. Membership of the Medical Chamber is compulsory for doctors and the chamber through its regional branches maintains a register of all qualified doctors.
Continuing professional development is overseen by the Continuing Education Council.
The Association of Hungarian Medical Societies (AHMS) combines the aims and interests of its member societies to represent the medical profession in Hungary. Plastic Surgeons in Hungary will belong to the Hungarian Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (a member society of the AHMS).
Education
Initial medical qualification falls under the remit of the Ministry of Education which regulates the 4 medical schools. Training takes 6 years. The Ministry of Health takes overall responsibility for postgraduate medical training and is aided in this by the advice of 'Institutes' which represent groupings of experts in relevant fields. Specialization such as in Plastic Surgery is obtained through a centrally regulated registrar system. Training in plastic surgery as a specialty (Plasztikai (égési) sebészet) requires a minimum period of 5 years. Continuing professional development is mandatory and is based on the accrual of Continuous Medical Education (CME) points. Failure to obtain the required numbers of CME points from accredited training programmes will lead to a suspension of the right to practice.
Complaints
The Medical Chamber has extensive powers over physicans and may fine, suspend or remove the right to practice. Patient complaints may be addressed to the chamber. Patients also retain the right to follow civil action through the courts.
