Over 300,000 People Searched The Internet For Dental Treatment Abroad In July, A Rise Of 50% On June

The number of people searching the internet for dental treatment abroad is growing exponentially. In July, according to RevaHealth.com, the world’s leading medical and dental tourism search engine, 317,000 people searched for information on foreign dental treatment — a  50% rise on the 212,000 people who carried out similar searches in June.

This staggering increase is proof positive that interest in dental tourism is rising sharply. Long gone are the stigmas and suspicions attached to travelling abroad for dental work. Now, people are deciding to take advantage of cheap flights or prearranged holidays to countries such as Hungary, Poland, Thailand and Turkey to get expert dental treatment — and save thousands of dollars in the process.

The average value of the overseas treatments enquired about specifically through RevaHealth.com (before travel costs) is currently $4,485, which compares to an average of $12,150 for the equivalent dental treatment at home. This represents an average saving of $7,665, or 63%.
