58,927 UK Citizens Searched The Internet For Dental Treatment Abroad In July, A Rise Of 53% On June

The number of UK citizens searching the internet for dental treatment abroad is growing exponentially. In July, according to RevaHealth.com, the world’s leading medical and dental tourism search engine, 58,927 Brits searched for information on foreign dental treatment — a  53% rise on the 38,425 people who carried out similar searches in June.

This staggering increase is proof positive that interest in dental tourism is rising sharply among UK citizens. Long gone are the stigmas and suspicions attached to travelling abroad for dental work. Now, people from all corners of the UK are deciding to take advantage of cheap flights or prearranged holidays to countries such as Hungary, Poland, Thailand and Turkey to get expert dental treatment — and save thousands of pounds in the process.

The average value of the overseas treatments enquired about specifically through RevaHealth.com (before travel costs) is currently £2,200, which compares to an average of £5,945 for the equivalent dental treatment in the UK. This represents an average saving of £3,745, or 63%.
